National Agenda Against Cholangiocarcinoma screening 60 was held Friday 2nd June 2017 at Kumphawapi School in Kumphawapi, Udon Thani. Our team members along with health care professionals from Kumphawapi Hospital screened 512 people at high risk of CCA, 6 suspected cases of CCA were identified and have been refered for further evaluation.CASCAP is committed to the agenda of eliminating liver fluke and reducing the incidence of cholangiocarcinoma. Every month, CASCAP takes its mobile screening program on tour across the north and northeastern regions of Thailand, to provinces with high risk group populations, and provides free screening. The people that CASCAP benefits most are from rural impoverished areas with limited access to medical care and are unable to afford the cost of medical attention. The program brings access to skilled health care professionals and state of the art imaging technology to people who are at risk of the disease. CASCAP is also an advocate for CCA awareness and provides education about the disease to everyone.
